Registration and Booking Conditions

  • A deposit of €5o for Level 1 and €100 for Level 2 is required to register and reserve a space on a Swim Ireland Course
  • Full payment is required a minimum of 28 days in advance of the course start date – course registrations and bookings will not be accepted after this without full payment
  • No course registrations or bookings will be accepted within 14 days of the start date of a Swim Ireland Course
  • If full payment is not received by Swim Ireland prior to 28 days from the start date of the course, then the candidate space and deposit will be forfeited – spaces will be allocated to candidates on the waiting list who provide full payment and have completed the e-vetting process
  • Registration and bookings received between 28 and 15 days prior to the start of a Swim Ireland course will be subject to a surcharge of €30 for urgent processing of e-vetting (this additional charge will be required at the time of booking but does not guarantee access to the course)
  • No course registrations or bookings will be accepted within 14 days of the start date of a Swim Ireland course – with the exception of candidates making full payment who have successfully completed the e-vetting process and have received a letter/email of confirmation from Swim Ireland
  • Cancellation of any course by Swim Ireland will result in a full refund, inclusive of deposit (this does not include non-acceptance onto a course due to failure to complete e-vetting in time for the start of the course)

Please note that Swim Ireland do not accept responsibility for monies lost due to late application of e-vetting and subsequent lack of acceptance prior to the start of any Swim Ireland Course.  In these instances, a maximum of 50% of the course cost will be refunded to the candidate, but cases will be decided on an individual basis.

Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds will not be given once the course has started

  • Cancellation 28 days or more from the start of the course – €50/100 deposit forfeited with full refund of remaining balance
  • Cancellation between 28 and 15 days of the start of the course– 50% Refund (inclusive of deposit) eg L1 225/200 L2 400/375
  • Cancellation within 14 days of the start of the course – No Refund

Please note that acceptance on a course is provisional pending confirmation from Swim Ireland that you have completed the prerequisites;

Safeguarding
All candidates should be aware that attendance at a Safeguarding level 1 course within the last 3 years is a prerequisite for registration on all Teaching/Coaching and Team Manager Courses.

Please note to attend a Safeguarding level 1 course candidates must be 16 years of age or older, for candidates under 18 years of age a signed parental consent form must be handed to the tutor before the start of the course Click here to download the form.

Level 1 candidates must be 16 or older
Level 2 candidates must be 18 or older

Vetting
If you have not applied for vetting with Swim Ireland in the last 3 years please visit this link to apply. It is compulsory for candidates to be fully vetted before attending a Swim Ireland course.

For a level 2 course candidates must hold the Level 1 certificate in the same discipline.

Please be aware courses may be cancelled due to unforeseeable circumstances or insufficient registrations to proceed with the course. Candidates will be notified one week prior to the course start date.
